Where do I pick up my key?
Picking up your key is both simple and convenient. A confirmation email will be sent to your email address which will include driving directions from the airport directly to your key pick-up instructions.
What should I bring for my stay?
The Big Island Passport is the most important thing to bring as it contains directions and the key code necessary to release the key to your rental property.
What is in a typical condo on the BIFD program?
In a typical condo on our rental program you will find fresh linens and towels, seating, bedding, dishes and silverware for the licensed capacity of the condo. In addition, we stock toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing detergent, dish soap and regular bar soap for your arrival. All of the condos have basic pots and pans for cooking. A television and DVD player are standard. If the condo has additional multimedia equipment such as stereos and video game stations they are listed on-line in the property description page under amenities.
Lost and Found?
If you have stayed in one of our condos and have lost an item let us know as soon as possible. We will attempt to locate the item by checking the unit and/or by speaking with the cleaning company. If we are successful at locating it you may choose from one of the following options to regain possession:
We can safeguard it for you to pick-up within a 2-month period or
We can mail the item back to you at cost plus a $35 handling fee.

Who is Big Island Front Desk?
Big Island Front Desk is owned and operated by Paul Matsuwaki in direct partnership with Front Desk Resort Management. Paul, born and raised on the Big Island, joined Front Desk Resort Management in November 2006 at the Mammoth Lakes, California location after graduating college. During his time there, Paul built and maintained an excellent rapport with owners and guests for his detailed attention to property maintenance and thoughtful care for the customer's vacation experience. Now, having gained the full confidence of Front Desk Resorts, Paul and his wife, Pearl, have returned home to the islands to reside in Kona.
Paul has teamed up with a reputable network in Front Desk Resort Management. Experience that speaks for itself in graphic design, on-line marketing management, and system operations. Together Paul, and Front Desk Resorts are proud to host an excellent vacation rental service on the Big Island and look forward to building another great reputation through Big Island Front Desk.
